Year 6 Viking Trade Simulation

On this beautiful autumnal afternoon in 980AD, the shouts of merchants could be heard across the Bournville Junior land as trading opened in Year 6. Silks, jewellery, meats, minerals and weapons were traded from regions such as Constantinople, Hedeby, Iceland, Dublin, Mainz, Birka, Bulgar and Jorvik. The Vikings honed their organisational skills, teamwork, bartering and mental maths as they attempted to increase their wealth.
