This afternoon, Year 6 were joined by the Red Cross, who helped us practise our First Aid skills.
In World War 2, many civilians were First Aid trained due to the high rate of injuries after air raids. We learned about how to call Emergency Services and what to say; the correct speed to give chest compressions; and how to use everyday items in the case of an accident.
We now feel more confident in dealing with accidents and doing the right thing until professionals arrive!
