At Bournville Junior School, music plays a pivotal role in school life. We pride ourselves that we are able to offer weekly instrument lessons; two school choirs; a Year 6 hand bell group; two keyboard clubs; wind and string ensembles; a school orchestra and whole class teaching of the ukulele to Year 4. Our musicians are showcased at our lower and upper school summer concerts, our annual carol service in St Francis Church and during school assemblies. Many play in area and central ensembles run by the Birmingham Music Service and sing with the CBSO Children’s Chorus. Our senior choir perform regularly at the Symphony Hall and Town Hall, having recently been asked to sing as guests of the Canoldir Male Choir, Midland Hospital Choir and KHES Symphony Orchestra. The choir also take part in the Music Service annual Primary Schools Gala in the Symphony Hall and Young Voices at the Genting Arena. We are justifiably proud of all that our children achieve.
